Our People

AtWork Consulting was founded in 1999. Its initial focus was on team and organisational development, incorporating some management and performance coaching. The AtWork service range gradually grew, especially after its rebirth in 2006, to encompass an extensive array of management and HR services. More recently again, leadership and management development has become a major focus, as an outcome of a natural growth in this area in terms of both expertise and client demand. Coaching now encompasses executive, management, career, performance and more customised coaching, again in response to both our expertise and what our clients are seeking.

Paul Murphy, our Principal Consultant, is a highly experienced coach and management/HR consultant who has worked in the field of HRM, Executive Coaching and Training & Development for over 20 years. Paul’s strengths in coaching, HR, team development, business strategy and recruitment have delivered successful outcomes right throughout this time.

Paul’s approach is based on successful partnerships and working rapport with staff at all organisational levels, from the executive leaders and managers to the service delivery or production "coalface". This is an important component of achieving great results consistently in such a people-oriented field.

AtWork also invites and manages the participation of specialist associate consultants either for additional specialist expertise or more grunt power on big projects.

Qualifications:

Paul’s academic qualifications are:

  • Master of Education (University of Melbourne) with a focus on organisational development
  • Graduate Diploma in Education & Training (Vocational Education)
  • BA (Social Science)

Accreditation:

  • MBTI (& Majors PTI) - Qualified facilitator and administrator including MBTI Step II
  • MLQ (360° leadership system for Individuals, Teams and Organisations) - qualified facilitator
  • TMP and LSI – accredited facilitator of Team Management Systems products
  • NLP - qualified Practitioner, Master Practitioner and NLP Trainer
  • DiSC – accredited facilitator
  • EQi 2.0 – the best Emotional Intelligence profile tool – accredited facilitator
